Wazee Union, Denver, Colorado

February, 2011

+ + +

Based on a mash-up of source material (Ramona Forever by Beverly Cleary, The Rules by Emily Post, "Darkness on the Edge of the Universe" by Brian Greene, and Wikipedia), this four-hour durational performance piece took place in a bathroom in the Wazee Union Studios. Performed at "On Being a Woman," a fundraiser for Titwrench Music Festival, glASS was an in-the-moment performance meditation on Indra’s Net, the phenomenon that alchemies sand into glass, and what exactly constitutes polite behavior.
